The Punjab government officially started the second phase of the Mukhya Mantri Teerth Yatra Yojana 2025, which honours the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. This phase aims to ensure that around 16,000 pilgrims from each assembly area to visit prominent holy sites in Punjab, including as Sri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Partition Museum. The scheme is available to all castes, faiths, and income levels, promoting social and religious peace among Punjabis.

In Amritsar, notable sites include Sri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal, Jallianwala Bagh, Partition Museum, Sri Anandpur Sahib in Punjab, and Mata Naina Devi in Himachal Pradesh. According to the timetable and batch size, the district may include other sacred sites.
