About University

The Government of Bihar founded Patliputra University on March 18, 2018, to manage the expanding student population in Patna and nearby areas. It was formed by separating Magadh University, which had earlier become overwhelmed.

Patliputra University Exam 2026

Patliputra University’s examination structure follows two separate patterns, depending on the course. Exams for the new Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), which was launched under the NEP, are held every six months.

• Semester Exams: The Odd Semester exams (Sem 1, 3, 5) were successfully conducted in December 2025 and January 2026. The results for these are the ones currently awaited. The Even Semester exams (Sem 2, 4, 6) are tentatively scheduled for May-June 2026.
• Annual Exams: For older batches still under the annual system (if any remnants exist) or specific annual vocational courses, exams typically occur in April or May, with results following in July.
