B.Ed. Eligibility in CTET 2026: The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has strongly rejected all “false news” circulating on social media about BEd being reinstated for CTET 2026. The council has said categorically that it has not provided any notification or official information on its website or any social media platform regarding the reinstatement of BEd in the qualifying requirements for the main level (Paper 1) of CTET 2026.

CTET February 2026:The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially launched the online application window for the CTET February 2026 session, which begins on November 27, 2025. Candidates interested in conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test can now apply online at the official website ctet.nic.in, with the due date for submitting applications and paying fees being December 18, 2025. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 8 February 2026, with Paper 2 in the morning shift from 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon and Paper 1 in the afternoon shift from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

The Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. The CTET February 2026 exam will be held across 132 cities in 20 different languages, providing accessibility to a broad range of candidates nationwide.

7Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
8Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or pursuing of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

As per NCTE Notification No.76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad dated 11.02.2011: A person who scores 60% or
more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass. Candidates must achieve these marks to qualify:

CBSE will provide Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) mark-sheets to all candidates and eligibility certificates to successful candidates in Digital Format in their DigiLocker account. The mark sheets and eligibility certificates will be digitally signed and will be legally valid as per the IT Act.

There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of result. No correspondence in this regard shall be
entertained
